I obtained the three years degree in Molecular Biotechnology in 2003 and the two years Master in Bioinformatics in 2006, both at the University of Milano-Bicocca. During the Bachelor thesis project I dealt with data analysis of microarrays, using bioinformatics and statistical tools. In the Master thesis project I dealt with planning and creation of Publime (Published Lists of Microarray Experiments), a mySQL database to collect published gene expression signatures, enabled for cross-platform gene annotation [1][2][3][4]. During this period I learnt perl programming, database and website developing and a number of bioinformatics tools for microarray and downstream analysis.
