− | From 2006 to 2010 I was a postdoctoral researcher at the [http://serrano.crg.es/ Design of Biological Systems Group] of the [http://www.crg.es Center for Genomic Regulation] in Barcelona, studying DNA-binding proteins (meganucleases, zinc fingers, transcription factors,...) and how to change their specificity using available solved structures of the complexes.

− | Between Sept 2005 and Sept 2006 I was at the [http://bioinfo.cnio.es/ Bioinformatics Unit] at the Spanish National Cancer Center ([http://www.cnio.es CNIO]) in Madrid, Spain. We developed several web server applications: [http://idconverter.bioinfo.cnio.es IDconverter] and the [http://idclight.bioinfo.cnio.es IDClight]. Both are tools for the quick conversion of gene, clone or protein identifiers into other identifiers or other information that may enrich the overall information the user has of her own data. Also, we developed [http://pals.bioinfo.cnio.es PaLS], which filters relevant genes from large datasets.

− | My previous bioinformatics experience was at the [http://bioinformatics.burnham.org/ Adam Godzik's lab] at [http://www.burnham.org/ The Burnham Institute] in La Jolla, USA. There, I studied protein structures using networks. We analyzed the thermostability of proteins from Thermotoga maritima (a bacteria that grows at 80 degrees Celsius) and compared it with proteins from other mesophilic bacteria.
